my life is FULL of awesome things right now!
i just got hired as office administrator at hanley academy here in hamtramck! it happens to be the same school TJ works at (he teaches technology.) what a huge blessing from God! i've been unemployed for a little over 3 months. i didn't even have to toil to search for this job- God put it right in my lap! and in this economy, that's a huge MIRACLE! "the blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it" (Prov. 10:22).
this week a team of students from minnesota are working with real church to share God's love in our community! TJ and i are with them every day and night. they are amazing! and God is doing great things in them! i'm seeing so many of them (AND our repo students!) overcome selfishness, laziness, and fear this week. we're doing community service, and going out and meeting people to tell them about Jesus and invite them to real church.
next week i'm gonna be a camp counselor for a bunch of junior highers from all over michigan! the week after that i'm going to virginia with TJ to go visit my twin sister julie!
this week has been so good for me. challenging students to live for God is challenging ME to live it too. i've talked to more people about jesus and invited more people to church (even in "non-ministry times") than i can remember in a long time! when's the last time YOU shared your hope with someone? when's the last time YOU invited someone to church? you be the answer to your prayers!
jesus gives us life to the fullest! what's stopping you from having it? selfishness? laziness? fear? push past your feelings and choose to do it anyway! at the end of yourself, you find Jesus.
